Canterbury, UK  -  August 2011
August 29th to September 3rd               After a bit of searching on Trip Advisor we decided to spend our
time between our cruises at the
Canterbury Cathedral Lodge.  The hotel was clean and comfortable and
well located within a couple of blocks of numerous restaurants and lots of shopping.  The staff was very
friendly and helpful.  We found a couple of excellent restaurants.  Our first day we ended up punting on the
Stour River.  The only other time we went punting was in Christchurch New Zealand.

The only part of Kent we saw was as we drove to Canterbury from Southampton, and again on the drive to
Dover to board the Seabourn Sojourn, but it looked to be a beautiful area that we might want to revisit at
sometime in the future.  The Eurostar train stops is Ashford which is about 15 minutes from Canterbury, and
we might even consider the QM2 and Eurostar as an alternative way to travel to Paris.
