Our annual trip to St Barts has been enjoyable and we fly back home tomorrow (Thanksgiving Day) to
prepare for our extended winter cruise on the Seabourn Sojourn beginning on December 17th in Fort
Lauderdale.
Speaking of the Sojourn, she called on St Barts on three different occasions while we were here. We did
not recognize any of the crew members that came ashore. We talked to a few of the passengers that were
enjoying their day in St Barts, but were a bit taken back by the cost of things on this little island paradise.
The weather this year has been extraordinary. Most nights it rained well after we turned in, so there were
lots of flowers and shrubbery in bloom. The days have been sunny with a nice breeze..
As always we enjoy seeing friends we have made over the years, both other tourists as well as business
owners. St Barts has done a lot of work on upgrading the roads and infrastructure. After spending so much
time here during the past 20 or so years, we really do feel at home. Having said that, after 5 weeks we are
ready to move on, but are not looking forward to the cold weather at home.
Here is a LINK to photos I took during this trip, but as you will see for the most part we did not venture very
far from our balcony over looking Grand cul de sac, so the photos are a bit repetitive. I also added a few
photos to my Birds of St Barts Gallery.
We can not say enough nice things about the small hotel we stay at and its wonderful staff!
Tomorrow it will be Thanksgiving Dinner for us on Delta, but we sure have a lot to be Thankful for.
All the best for your Thanksgiving.
Cliff and Eleanor.
