Faroe Islands September 9, 2011 Cruising on the Seabourn Sojourn Sept 3rd to 29th
The Faroe Islands are Danish and significantly more dramatic than the Shetlands. They are very clean and well developed. Fishing is the prominent industry of the Faroes. The Scandinavian influence is quite pronounced as compared to the Shetlands. The houses are painted in pastels and many have grass roofs. The geology of the islands is fascinating with many exposed surfaces. In both the Shetlands and Faroes sheep graze along the roadside and definitely have the right of way. PHOTOS
