We were back to Anna Maria again for the third time. Other than the last few days the weather was beautiful. Our friend Scott Guthrie was able to join us for several days, but unfortunately had to spend much of his time on a last minute issue at work as well as to deal with the devastation his Mom experienced with the loss of her home due to the flooding by Hurricane Harvey.
It didn't take us long to fall into our regular routine of morning walks - Eleanor on the beach and me around the neighborhood. We could definitely tell that the economy is booming by the crowded restaurants. We found a couple of new "local" places like Tide Tables and Mar Vista which we could usually get into without a problem at lunch. Most evenings we would walk to the beach to watch the sunset.
December 15th We drove to the Beachside Village Resort in Lauderdale-By-The-Sea. This was the third time we have stayed at this hotel. We found it as nice as before, but the area was much more crowded.
December 18th We checked out of the resort, turned in our rental car and boarded the Silversea Muse in Port Everglades. All went smoothly.
